The TVC follows the adventure of our Cadbury Family driving through an evolving chocolate-laden countryside on their quest to reach the awesome spectacle, a milk-chocolate waterfall, whilst avoiding the temptation to eat their chocolate car along the way. The TVC is accompanied by the music of the Beach Boy's hit Wouldn't it be Nice.

The challenge to create characters as a true representation of real milk chocolate, in 'clay', is not new to us, having faced similar execution requirements in producing the Mars Confectionery, Maltesers campaign over a 4-year period.

As is usual, each of the characters were animated with frame by frame sculpting and manipulation, but requiring much in the way of 'smoothing' and 'polishing' to give the surfaces a delicious 'chocolatey' finish.

As is usual, each of the characters were animated with frame by frame sculpting and manipulation, but requiring much in the way of 'smoothing' and 'polishing' to give the surfaces a delicious 'chocolatey' finish.

There were two scales built for the car (a smaller exterior scale car around 30cm in length, complete with fully articulate suspension and other 'additional extras') and the characters. The characters, although tiny in this particular scale, were still animated via a removable and 'registration pinned' roof. The larger scale of the characters was for all interior car shots where the main character's performances took place. A removable roof was designed for access to the characters, some of which could again be removed entirely from the set for more complicated manipulation.
